The research was conducted by the questionnaire for participants of scuba diving activities in Hengchun area. A total of 450 questionnaires were distributed, 450 copies were collected, 50 invalid questionnaires were deducted, and 400 valid questionnaires were counted. The effective questionnaire recovery rate was 88 %. The data obtained were analyzed with SPSS 20 version. The results of the study:(1) The most obvious motivation for scuba diving participants to participate in scuba diving activities is “social demand”(M=4.29);(2) The biggest obstacle for scuba diving participants when participating in scuba diving activities, most notably “technical equipment and companions”(M=2.92);(3) When scuba diving participants were involved in scuba diving activities, the most satisfactory one is the "knowledge and social experience"(M=4.20);(4) The motivation and obstacle factors of scuba diving participants are significantly negatively correlated;(5) The participation and satisfaction of scuba diving participants show a significant positive correlation. Research suggestion: The general public can choose scuba diving activities as leisure activities for individuals, friends and the whole family; rental stores can provide more appealing discount on rental diving equipment to attract scuba diving enthusiasts; relevant government departments should build diverse marine website to provide information and activities attract more tourists and promote marine activities.
