One of the most significant developments in the field of organizations in recent times is the increasing importance given to human resource. As an organisation needs to succeed and survive, or compete effectively in the global economy in this era of globalization, employers must be in the position to propound and practice recruitment and selection of employees in the best way. The success of a business or an organization is directly linked to the performance of those who work for that organization. Every organization has its own requirements in acquiring employees. It is vital that organizations select people with the quality essential for continued success in this competitive global village. The only means of achieving this success is through proper recruitment and selection practices.
The most important thing in retaining an organizational value and achieving its goals begins with the selection of employees. There are a number of different types of human resource recruitment methods that are effective and appropriate for the organization. These methods have advantages as well as disadvantages. None of the approaches have been proven to be the best.
This study will examine the best practices staff recruitment and selection processes methods and attempt to proven some clarity into the extent of use of the various approaches by businesses, thereby shorten the learning curve for business startups.
According to findings the most popular way to conduct selection is behavioral interviews and knowledge test where they got 19 mentions, comprising of 61.2% of all the methods mentioned.
The consolidation of the advantages of more than 66-75% of ease of use for the organization, improved candidate quality, larger candidate pool, success in finding candidates has been repeated.
According to the study, human resource managers prefer to spend less time, quicker results, cost effectiveness, quickly select the right person.
