To achieve the above-mentioned goals, this study went on with action research, in connection with 4 underachievers in second -grade students to do the research. The teaching took five weeks and there were twenty sessions of class in total. During the process of study, the researcher did canalization and comparison by Written Language Ability Diagnostic Test for Children and Reading Motivation Questionnaires, such as writing ability rating scale, teaching diary, student’s work, co-teacher’s records, students’ and parents’ interviews, to comprehend the student’s improvement on constrained composition. Following is the results after summarizing: 1. By picture books teaching can upgrade lower-grade student’s writing ability. 2. By picture books teaching can upgrade lower-grade student’s writing interest. 3. Action research can enhance teachers’ professional growth, increase teachers’ reflective ability.
