Summary: | 碩士 === 康寧大學 === 健康產業管理研究所 === 107 === This study explored the influence of weight training between four competitions (included 2017 11th Asian Women’s Softball Championship, 2018 Women’s Softball Asia Pacific Cup, 2018 16th Women’s Softball Championship, and 2018 18th Asia Game – Women’s Softball) on the muscle strength and batting performance of the batters of the Women’s Softball Training Team of Asian Games. The result showed that the squat 3RM strength and the deadlift 3RM strength were improved significantly during this study; the batting percentage and slugging percentage in 2018 Asia Game were lower significantly than 2017 Asian Women’s Softball Championship and 2018 Women’s Softball Championship, and the slugging percentage in 2018 Women’s Softball Asia Pacific Cup were also lower than 2017 Asian Women’s Softball Championship. This study found that the training protocol in this study was efficacious that the strength of participants was maintained and promoted, but the batting performance was not promoted together with muscle strength. The reason may be related to the strength of the opponents pitcher and the overall logistics support work, such as scouting. The ranking of Chinese Taipei Women’s Softball Team would be 2nd place in Asia, in order to continue improving, in addition to physical fitness and tactics, support services such as scouting need to be the strong backing of coaches and players. Future study was needed to focus on the parameters such as swing speed or flying speed of batted ball for the understanding of the relationship between physical and performance to help coaches and players to improve their training.
