碩士 === 嶺東科技大學 === 國際企業系碩士班 === 107 === The study aims to investigate how the strategies in the Sun Tzu's Art of War apply to international enterprise operation. This thesis comprises the analysis of The Art of War, literature review, and case studies. There were three parts in the thesis: 1. Statements in The Art of War related to international enterprise operation—elaboration of the connections between The Art of War and international enterprise operation. 2. Implementation of the strategies in The Art of War—how companies utilize the ‘five fundamentals’ stated in The Art of War (The Moral Law; Natural Order; Geography; The Commander; Method and Discipline) and effectively implement them to enhance competitiveness. 3. Case studies—taking five well-known companies as examples to analyze the implementation of the five fundamentals. The conclusion of this study shows that the five fundamentals (The Moral Law; Natural Order; Geography; The Commander; Method and Discipline) from Sun Tzu's Art of War caught be applied to international enterprises operation. The five conclusions were: 1. The Moral Law caught be implemented to the management philosophy in an international enterprise. 2. Natural Order caught be applied to the strategy formulation for an international enterprise 3. Geography caught be implemented to the marketing planning for an international enterprise. 4. The Commander caught be applied to the leadership in an international enterprise. 5. Method and Discipline caught be implemented to the organizational structure of an international enterprise.
