A total of 209 questionnaires were issued, 205 questionnaires recovered and 24 invalid questionnaires deleted. There were 181 valid questionnaires in total, with an effective recovery rate of 86.6%. Finally, SPSS 22.0 version statistical software was used to analyze the statistical data obtained from the questionnaires. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1、 For field fire fighters in the Second Corps of Kaohsiung City Government Fire Bureau, overall work stress is located in medium high level. 2、 For field fire fighters in the Second Corps of Kaohsiung City Government Fire Bureau, the using frequency of the overall adaptive strategy is located in medium high level. 3、 For field fire fighters in the Second Corps of Kaohsiung City Government Fire Bureau, there are significant differences between their gender, marital status, length of services and special examination dual-track system and their work stress. 4、 For field fire fighters in the Second Corps of Kaohsiung City Government Fire Bureau, there are significant differences between their gender and length of services and their adaptive strategies. 5、 There is a positive correlation between work stress and adaptive strategy.
