Summary: | 碩士 === 開南大學 === 觀光運輸學院碩士在職專班 === 107 === The aircraft accident investigation report is nothing more than to find out the cause of the accident and use it as a basis for improvement to make the flight safer. Relevant scholars believe that "human factors" account for a considerable proportion of the causes, but the mechanical factors have not been completely ruled out. The research in this paper starts with the phenomenon of mechanical failure, explores the causes, and considers the reference for subsequent improvement. At the initial airworthiness stage of the aircraft, the aircraft manufacturer has passed the verification of the civil aviation authority, met the airworthiness standards, and obtained the type certification before it can be produced and sold. Although this model is tested for performance through various environments and conditions, it is certified. However, the characteristics of metal fatigue are only after years of discovery. In the article, the accident investigation report of three nose wheel steering failures was analyzed, and two of them were caused by metal fatigue damage of the front landing gear components. The other is that the sealing rubber ring is aging and the sealing effect is lost. The airline checks the A320 fleet and the other aircraft find the same situation. Airbus has tried to find out the cause, issued a technical bulletin, recommended airlines to improve, and ensure flight safety. The Airbus family has A320, A330 and A350. Will the blood from the same family have a family history? The single-aisle passenger aircraft B737-800 and Embraer190, which are also positioned as regional routes, have low flight hours and high landing cycles. Will there be a potential crisis of metal fatigue damage? This study is based on the maintenance manual, supplemented by the flight accident investigation report, to explore the cause of the failure of the A320 front landing gear nose wheel.
