This study is based on quantitative research, supplemented by qualitative research. Through questionnaires, observations and interviews, the researchers learned about the situation in Peru, from where students came to learn Chinese. The problem awareness of this study is among these 12 Peruvian students, only one’s English is good, the rest mainly speak Spanish, their Chinese is not good, and even worse for some others, very bad. Therefore they entered the Chinese class in W Elementary School in Taipei. When they were immersed in the Chinese learning environment, would they sink or float? The study found that the Peruvian students could "float", and the floating could be divided into six types: Modestly-active, hardworking, stable gradually up, special, English supportive, slow-going. The results of the Chinese Language Tests have improved from the average pre-test to the beginner level, and the average is close to the growing level. 91.67% of the Peruvian students were satisfied with the classes at W Elementary School and overall the wider satisfaction during the entire three-month study tour was also 91.67%. (58.34%were “very satisfied” and 33.33%were “satisfied”.) Dr. Yu, B. C. 余伯泉博士 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 120 zh-TW
