Particularly, the environmental pollution resulting from industrial and commercial development affects the local residents’ life quality, for instance, air, water quality and soil are very important to biological state, so it is necessary to know whether the industrial pollutions have affected the health of the local residents. This study is mainly to monitor the heavy metals around Lunfeng Elementary School in Taihsi. Taihsi is adjacent to Liuqing Industrial Park which has caused serious air pollution for more than 20 years. Additionally, heavy metals are cumulative and can remain in the soil for more than a thousand years. Therefore, field sampling was performed, and samples were respectively soil, leaves (passive sampling) and water. In the preliminary treatment, microwave digestion was firstly conducted on these three kinds of samples respectively, and then heavy metals were analyzed with ICP-OES. The heavy metal elements analyzed were 6 major metallic pollutants such as copper, chromium, cadmium, lead, nickel and zinc. After that, the concentrations obtained from the analysis were compared with those stipulated by the State to inspect whether there was any data exceeding the regulatory standards, so as to establish the database of this area. The results show that, the concentrations of zinc (Zn) and copper (Pb) in the water of the firms around Lunfeng Elementary School and the water of Haikou Life Museum are higher than those of other elements, respectively 0.665 mg/l、0.3mg/l、0.12 mg/l, which are within the range of the regulations, but long-term drinking may have accumulated risks and affect human health. Lead regulations are 0.1 mg/L daily. Obviously over 3 multiple. The concentrations of chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), nickel (Ni) in the soil are respectively 928.6 mg/kg, 473.2 mg/kg and 776.8 mg/kg which exceed the standards seriously. However, whether there is any pollution problem shall be determined by comparison with other studies and continuous sampling analysis. The concentrations of zinc (Zn) in the plants of Lunfeng Elementary School and Haikou Life Museum are respectively 0.21 mg/kg and 0.2mg/kg which are lower than the detection limit based on the experimental data. Hence, plants may be not suitable for passive sampling, for particles cannot be effectively absorbed on the plant surfaces due to strong wind in the natural environment. 吳玉深 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 85 zh-TW
