碩士 === 玄奘大學 === 社會工作學系碩士班 === 107 === This study aims to explore the religious beliefs and well-being of new residents and take the Miaoli area as an example. To obtain the differences in religious beliefs and well-being between the socio-and- economic backgrounds of in Miaoli County, the study want to understand the religious beliefs and happiness and predictive ability. The number of questionnaires issued in this study was 384, 79 were invalidated, 134 were not recovered, and 171 were valid. The effective questionnaire rate was 44.5%. The study found that: 1. Different background variables of new residents have some significant differences in religious beliefs; 2. Different background variables new residents have some significant differences in happiness; 3. New residents have the highest awareness of religious beliefs in religious beliefs; 4. New residents have the highest awareness of happiness in life satisfaction; 5. New residents have a positive correlation with religious beliefs and happiness; 6. The religious beliefs of new residents have positive predictive power for happiness. This research contribution can provide a reference to how religious groups can improve the religious beliefs and well-being of new residents.
