Pain management is considered an important task of nursing. Nursing students are the nurses of the future, it is important to ensure that students receive adequate education about pain management in nursing schools. Aim: The aim of this study was to explore nursing students’ knowledge and attitudes towards pain management. Methods: Cross-sectional study. A self-administered survey including demographics and Knowledge and Attitudes Survey Regarding Pain-Vietnamese version tool (KASRP-V) will complete by 134 nursing students at Duy Tan University. Data were collected over a period of three months from January 2019 to March 2019. Data were analyzed using SPSS (22.0) software. Descriptive statistics were used in the data analysis. Results: In 134 nursing students were selected to study subjects. Most students are between 21 and 24 years old, the average age is 22, accounting for 51.5% l. The results show that students do not have enough knowledge and attitude scores on KASRP. Students with a percent score average for all grades are 49.64%. (SD ±14.21). No students have good knowledge. There are significant differences detected between KASRP and variables such as age, number of months of practice. Conclusion: Students have a lack of knowledge and attitudes about pain management. Need to improve the program of management of pain management for nursing students.
