「Attention Ability」 is a major topic on elderly health care industry, technics for evaluating this ability worths more research. As popular as tablet pc is, more new 「Attention Ability Evaluation 」applications are worth to develop. This thesis is to study on the 「Criterion-related validity」and 「test-retest reliability」 of Shih-Hsu’s test of attention ability, it also tries to discover attention ability differences between elderly and youth. I have some discoveries as follows: 1. Good relationship of Criterion-related validity between Mr. Tsu and first time of Mr. Shih as their correlation coefficient is 0.546** . 2. Shih-Hsu’s test of reliability of attention ability is 0.876, higher than 0.7 during first and second time , it means better reliability of Shih-Hsu’s test of attention ability. 3. Tsu’s test of attention ability for elderly and youth, t verification value is smaller than 0.05 significantly. Shih-Hsu’s first test of attention ability, t verification value is also smaller than 0.05 significantly, it means different attention ability between elderly and youth. Therefore we are urged to pay more attention on elderly.
This thesis proves Shih-Hsu’s test of attention ability owns test-retest reliability. But only 48 questionnaires has been collected back can not prove it is good enough. It is suggested that more questionnaires are necessary for next researcher in order to prove this thesis is more reliable.
