Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 哲學系碩士在職專班 === 107 === One of the characteristics of modern culture is the individual's priority. By promoting individualism, it brings great freedom to the self. When it breaks away from the framework of the past moral order, it also causes the self to fall into an unprecedented sense of loss. How does the self that loses direction achieve self-realization? First, I establish the background framework of modern society through Charles Taylor's discussion of modern social Imaginaries. Secondly, with Taylor's three malaises about modern society, it is inferred that modern people are confused about self-realization. Then, by pursuing the historical development of the concept of authenticity, in addition to combing the tension between the concept of authenticity and the concept of autonomy, through the discussion of the concept of authenticity by other scholars, the understanding of the concept of authenticity is expanded, and the concept of authenticity is properly After re-understanding, I will examine the modernity scheme proposed by Taylor, that is, whether the planning of true ethics can become an alternative to modern self-realization. Finally, I argue that the concept of "authenticity" is enough to help modern people to escape the egocentric monologue dialogue when pursuing self-realization, and to re-understand the self through dialogue with the other self-loyalty to their own uniqueness. In addition, it is more necessary to maintain contact with the other and the overall order. Such recognition can help self-sustaining development. Mature self not only has self-understanding with depth and breadth, but also can gain the self-realization path of the power of the other and the overall order in an understandable field of vision.
