It analyzes the differences between individual background variables of Internet use in mobile device and loneliness among mature aged people. Moreover, it examines whether internet use in mobile device could predict loneliness. Questionnaire survey is adopted. The questionnaire based on literature review and related empirical studies were distributed to the mature aged people, and 735 valid questionnaires are obtained. Data are analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t -test, one -way ANOVA, Pearson correlation, and hierarchical regression. Then the collected data are analyzed and discussed. The results showed that: 1.The level of loneliness of the mature age generation is not high. 2.Those who are "female", "60-65", "married", "consciously in good economic condition" and "consciously in good health" of the mature aged people have a low sense of loneliness. 3.The longer years the mature aged people use the internet with mobile device, the lower the sense of loneliness is. 4.The longer daily time the mature aged people use the internet with mobile devices, the higher the sense of loneliness is. 5. The instrumental motivation of mature aged people’s internet use in mobile devices was the main motivation, instrumental motivation has a negative explanatory power for loneliness. 6. Social activities of mature aged people’s internet use in mobile devices is most frequently used . Social activities have a negative explanatory power for loneliness. 7. Entertainment motivation and recreational activities of mature aged people’s internet use in mobile device have a positive explanatory power for loneliness. Besides the above research results, this study also provides relevant recommendations to the mature aged people, government departments and following researchers.
