碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 企業管理學系管理學碩士班 === 107 === Increased attention has been paid to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and related issues. Many studies have focused on CSR’s benefit to enterprises. The paper explores how corporate financial performance changes upon a corporation’s fulfillment of a social responsibility. Previous studies have discussed CSR’s impacts on corporate performance, yet such studies have not been effective in answering: (1) Has corporate social responsibility contributed to better performance? (2) Does a company with good performance do CSR? This paper measure CSR performance of enterprises based on Global Views CSR award that serves as the earliest evaluation of CSR performances in Taiwan. Applied too was the time node of the first award to analyze performance changes before and after the award. These are to reduce the impact of endogenous factors on the results. It also explores the impact of differences between companies and having repeated awards on the impact of awards. The awarded companies financial performance will only improve if they are not influenced by other awards and economic fluctuations. the company will improve its performance after awards. In addition, the company's industry, award-winning time and the presence or absence of repeated awards will affect the impact of awards. The financial performance is positively affected when the companies receive the CSR award only once.
