This research focused on, first, how to improve the technology and how to control the image and the quality of the brand. Secondly, how should the workers react to consumer flows during work. Last, what are the worker’s expectations towards the future of their career?
This research interviewed people who had work experience over a year in the handshake beverage industry, got insights from them to understand why they stayed for this job. This research found out that handshake beverage industry uses new machines to replace skilled workers, allow franchisees to expend the brands. This result in simple work environment, that doesn’t have much opportunities to get promotions. Employers uses much replaceable part time job workers, which means workers don’t stay to advance their career.
Besides the motivation that workers can one day become partners in the industry, This research also found out the relationship with coworkers is an important factor for workers to stay in this low income industry. This definitely shows how different generations have different career choices based on different reasons, also how this industry involved overtime.
