At present, Taiwan is going to face with serious aging problems, but the government’s long-term care service is not perfectly provided, and the commercial long-term care insurance is not totally accepted. Online questionnaire analysis was employed by this study to examine the recognition of the Taiwanese about the aging life, the viewpoint to government long term care service, finding if the claim in detail can affect to the consumer purchasing intention.
This finding indicated that the consumer was the risk awareness about the long-term care service, but have no belief on the government long term care service. Moreover, they didn’t choose the commercial long-term care insurance product, because they concern about the claim result later. Most of reasons for purchasing decision is the insurance company’s fame. The outcomes of this research provide several empirical suggestions to the government should start from the communication about the importance of the long-term care plan, via many types of media, providing more detailed analysis information about the aging risk, increasing the risk cognition about the long-term care problem. Furthermore, the branch awareness of life insurance company is one of the key factors to increase the purchasing intention.
