Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 財務金融學系 === 107 === This study uses the financial data of commercial banks from 2004 to 2017, the bank supervision variables and the economic variables of each countries, and uses systematic notation estimation to explore the impact of the capital of 9052 banks on the growth rate of loans in 75 countries. The banks capital is classified into small banks, medium-sized banks, and large banks. It is examined whether bank loans will be enhanced and weakened by the size of the bank. The empirical results: First, the bank loan growth rate and bank capital are significantly positively correlation. When the bank capital is higher, the banks loan growth rate will increase. Second, the bank loan growth rate and the timely loan loss recognition variable show a significant positive correlation. Third, further divide the sample into large banks, medium-sized banks, and small banks for discussion. In large banks, bank capital and timely loan loss recognition has little impact on loan growth. Fourth, the growth rate of medium-sized banks capital and timely loan loss recognition has little impact on the growth rate of loan. The three variables of bank control variables have a significant correlation with loan growth rates. Fifth, the loan growth rate will increase as the capital of small banks increases, and the loan growth rate will decrease when the timely loan loss recognition is lowered.
