Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 材料科學與工程學系 === 107 === In this study, a hydrothermal was used to prepare titanium dioxide nanowire arrays (TiO2-NR) on a titanium foil. The nanowire arrays were heat treated with different atmosphere (air, hydrogen) and coated with ZnO by atomic layer deposition (ALD). The properties of photocatalytic water splitting and degradation of Rhodamine B were investigated.
The width of the nanowires increased with increasing the cycle number of ALD. Hydrogen treated TiO2-NR exhibited the higher growth rate than the air treated samples. Both samples were composed of rutile phase. The ZnO was more pronounced after 150 cycles of ALD ZnO. UV-Vis spectra showed that deposition of ZnO reduced the band gap of TiO2 and improved the light absorption in the visible light region. The lowest band gap was obtained for 75 cycles of ALD ZnO.
In the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B, 75 cycles of zinc oxide on the hydrogen treated TiO2-NR possessed the highest degradation rate because of their higher carrier concentration.
