碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 107 === ABSTRACT This study makes use of qualitative research involving semi-structured interviews to provide evidence on how teenage smartphone addiction interrupts family harmony. The following information, during the year of 2018-2019, is gathered through interviews with 23 parents of teenagers: 1. The interviewees recognize that smartphones have become a necessity in daily life and parents should be aware of the appropriate use of smartphones for children. 2. Parents create a social media group, without time and space boundaries, for family members to develop effective conversation. 3. Parents learn the use of smart electronic appliances to have access to the teenage lifestyle. 4. Talk about sticking to screen time limits you set and healthy cell phone use habits. 5. Both parents and children should distinguish the characteristics of smartphones developing into a most essential part of our daily life today. With the research, we anticipate that it would be beneficial for teenagers to take control of their own use of smartphones and family harmony. Keywords: Smartphone, Teenagers, Family Harmony
