Study of the Behavioral Intention on Maintenance of Working Conditions in the Site of Fire Safety Equipments

碩士 === 大葉大學 === 環境工程學系研究所 === 107 === It is worthwhile for the fire safety management personnel to maintain the fire safety equipments at the site with or without positive intentions. In this study, the theory of planned behavior is used as a framework, and a questionnaire survey is conducted to investigate the relationship between “behavioral attitude”, “subjective norm”, “perceived behavioral control” and “behavioral intention” on maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments. A total of 168 valid cases were collected, and the questionnaires were analyzed by narrative statistics and inferential statistics, and the following results were obtained: 1. Although up to 78% of fire safety management personnel have participated in fire safety or public safety related training, 48% are not clear about classification of their maintenance sites on inspection, repair and registration regulation, and 33% are not clear about the frequency of annual fire inspection, repair and registration for their maintenance sites. It is obvious that most fire safety management personnel are quite unprofessional for their duty on maintenance of fire safety equipments. 2. In terms of “behavioral attitude”, the majority of fire safety management personnel agree that well maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments can bring many advantages. In terms of “subjective norm”, the fire safety management personnel also agree to follow the opinions other professions on maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments. In terms of “perceived behavioral control”, most fire safety management personnel can also agrees those determinant factors on maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments, however, their attitude are reserved and not very positive while facing the cost on maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments regularly. 3. In maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments the “behavioral attitude” are highly positively correlated in high significance with “behavioral intention”, while the “subjective norms” and “perceived behavioral control” are morderately positively correlated in high significance with “behavioral intention”. 4. There are no significant influences on background moderators, such as gender, seniority, related experience on fire safety or public safety, age of house, and management committee concerning “behavioral attitude”, “subjective norm”, and “perceived behavioral control”. Only personnel age, education level and identity of working place have a significant impact on “perceived behavioral control”, but have no significant effect on “behavioral attitude” and “subjective norm”. 5. In this study, a behavioral intention model is rebuilt on maintenance of working conditions in the site of fire safety equipments. Among the multiple regression relationships of those facets, only “behavioral attitude” and “subjective norm” can reach a very significant level with “behavioral intention”.
