A questionnaire survey was conducted among 442 students from the rural areas of Nantou County. The data were analyzed by independent sample t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and simple regression analysis. The research results were as follows: First, the exercise participation of male students was significantly higher than that of females. Second, there were no significant differences in social support among students with different background variables. Third, students with different background variables had no significant difference in well-being. Fourth, the social support of the school children had a significant positive correlation with the level of exercise participation. Fifth, there was a significant positive correlation between the exercise participation of the children and their well-being. Sixth, social support and well-being had a significant positive correlation. Seventh, the social support of the school children can positively predict exercise participation. Eighth, exercise participation of the students in rural areas can positively predict well-being. Ninth, the social support of the school children can positively predict well-being.
