Strawberry production is limiting by seasons and diseases. Plant factory is a better approach to produce crops under correctly controlling plant growth conditions. A health plantlet from in vitro culture is satisfied for plant factory. Hyperhydricity is an important problem in strawberry culture, resulting from lower multiplication and poor survival rates during the acclimatization process. We report a suitable approach to decrease hyperhydricity in vitro and set up a system for strawberry production under plant factory. We compared the effects on hyperhydricity under different combinations of light intensity and temperature. The results indicated that hyperdricitic percentages signif icantly lessened under 50 μmol m-2 s-1 of light intensity at 25 °C. We also tested different growth regulators on the roots of strawberries tissue culture and showed the survival rate of strawberries supplemented with indole-3-butyric acid (IBA) was higher than that of α-naphthylacetic acid (NAA). We also analyzed the growth parameters of strawberry plants and compared with different pollination approaches (artificial-, fan- and openpollination) to effects on fruits development under plant factory. The results indicated that it was necessary to correct the pH of the nutrient solution by adding KOH or H2SO4 to ensure correct conditions, and obtain the suitable approac of SHY and DF strawberry under plant factory.
