Summary: | 碩士 === 朝陽科技大學 === 景觀及都市設計系 === 107 === With the advent of the industrial and commercial era, "bicycles" have gradually been regarded as one of the choices of leisure activities by compatriots. It has given a new form of life, and even affects the policy, law, environmental planning and the setting of street furniture. At the end of 2015, a 1,000 kilometers bike lane “Cycling Route No.1” was start using, it connected more than 17 road networks. The government has published “A Study of Integration and Evaluation of the Bicycle Lane Network System”, it greatly enhances the friendliness of the bike lane environment. In academic field, there are also many related literatures on bike lanes. Such as feasibility assessment, design guidelines, landscape planning and environmental protection. It can be seen that bike lanes in Taiwan has become gradually improved, and it has also prompted more people participate in cycling sport.
Through the author's own observations, the number of cyclists at night is increasing, it shows the importance of lighting facilities. The research is themed with different distance between lighting facilities of bicycle lanes, to find out what is the difference in psychological cognition of users. It also discusses the related literature of lighting facilities, lighting facilities of bike lanes and the psychological cognition of users. The research takes the “Shigang section” of Dongfeng Bicycle Trail as the experimental base. This area has set a new “night riding” trend precedent in Taiwan, and the lighting facilities have been set up for more than ten years. This study provides recommendations for configuration of lighting facilities.
The study found that the lighting facilities of bike lanes provides more sense of security, comfort and brightness at a distance of 15 meters; and the cyclists felt nervous and fearful while the spacing of lighting facilities are more than 25 meters. Two suggestions of psychological cognition of bicyclist for the follow-up study. First, the type of lighting facilities. Second, natural surroundings of bike lanes.
