Summary: | 碩士 === 中原大學 === 工業與系統工程研究所 === 107 === As competition increase in market and changes over the years in production chain, car manufacturer (OEM) is facing many impacts and challenges. In supply chain management in automotive industry, IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System has been the basic requirement. In addition to IATF 16949, VDA 6.3 Process Audit is often used to conduct onsite at suppliers’ premise to evaluate whether supplier is quality capable to be rewarded of contract.
In this study, a HUD (head-up display) production manufacturer (hereinafter referred to Company A) was used as a case study object. Using case analysis method to explore effects to of quality performance improvement by implementation and deployment of VDA 6.3 requirements into Company A’s quality management system.
From the analysis results, we can find that quality performance is greatly improved. Treads shown that defect rate has been decreased and yield rate is increased. Base on this result, we can assume since implementation of VDA 6.3 in 2017, requirements from VDA 6.3 work as operational specifications to management system, increase control in each production phase, so that quality performance can grow positively and continue to improve.
Implementation of VDA 6.3 is based on base of IATF 16949 Automotive Quality Management System and minimum requirements of VDA 6.3, and integrate together with Automotive Customer Requirement into system. In VDA 6.3, it collects many best practice, knowledge and lessons learned from automotive industry. Accomplish level could be presented as measurable result, serve as one of the quantitative indicators of process capability, and help facilitating internal communication within organization and strive support for improvement from top management.
