Due to excessive use of the Internet,the results show many elementary children appear to have Internet addiction symptoms. Not only affecting their daily lives,but also damaging their personal health as well.The purpose of this study is to understand the fifth and sixth grade students of the elementary schools with research on parental rearing style method and internet addiction. The population of this study included students of the junior high school in the forest park of Kaohsiung City. Totally 554 valid questionnaire were collected. The analysis of the data included mean, standard deviation , t-test, one-way ANOVA, and regression methods. The main findings were as follows: first, the high Internet addiction group counts 3.6% and the mid-Internet addiction group 14.1%. Second, there are significant differences between different parenting styles and Internet addiction tendencies, among them, the parental rearing style with loose laissez-faire has the most Internet addiction tendency. Third,the degree of response to parenting style has a positive correlation with online addiction. Final, the degree of parental parenting is negatively correlated with online addiction.
