Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國科技大學 === 土木與防災設計系 === 107 === Granite/Marble has played an important role in the appearance and interior decoration of buildings although buildings are mostly made of steel or reinforced concrete in modern times. The unique characteristic of stone makes it a popular material whether in exterior walls, splendor halls, or interior decoration of buildings. In recent years, it has also often been used in moist areas such as in bathrooms. However, inherent defects of natural stone itself, and the damage from the water, are the main factors which cause pathological changes constantly. In the traditional construction method of stone floor, the cement mortar layer at the bottom of the stone that absorbs water and water ponding, often lead to water spots, efflorescence and pigment pollution. It also causes great inconvenience for consumers, and has negative influence of the reputation for the construction unit This study will utilize the new construction method of water diversion on the bottom of stone floor because the traditional method cannot effectively solve the moisture problem caused by poor drainage which produces water spots, efflorescence and pigment pollution on the stone surface. The new method is that a layer of enhanced water guiding mat is added between the bottom of the stone and the cement mortar to improve water diversion. The enhanced water guiding mat can also provide support for the stone floor, and reduce the number of mortar clumps and increase the spacing between mortar clumps. Then using drainage gradient of the bottom cement mortar can discharge smoothly and avoid the problem of water ponding on the bottom of the stone to decrease the rate of stone pathological changes.
