Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系 === 107 === Image has replaced text as the main form of message dissemination in modern civilization. The dynamic image combines the effect of image, sound and action, which has a powerful and deep influence on its viewers. More and more people use their mobile phones, digital cameras and the applications of editing software or APP for making films. It can be said that everyone can be the film director of the era. However, there is a lack of discussion about both concept and technology of the camera movement. This research explores the relevance of text and practice of camera movement. In “On Interpretation”, Aristotle defines words as symbols of affections of the soul or mental experiences. Spoken and written symbols differ between languages, but the mental experiences are the same for all. Therefore, words are the symbol and representation of the thinking process. Based on Aristotle’s concept, this research explores the methods and techniques of applying the grammatical structure of Chinese five-character poetry to camera movement. After applying in-depth interviews and context analysis, the strategy of camera movement is developed, and then applied on film making. The result of film is exhibited and communicated with audiences. It is found that the Chinese five-character poetry grammar can help the film-making team to establish a refined and accurate semantic image, which not only enhances the communication effect, but also effectively forms the camera movement strategy. This model is helpful in presenting the conception of Chinese five-character poetry and forming the play scrips. It also lays a foundation for the construction and application of the camera movement theory that based on Chinese aesthetics and philosophy.
