The landscape and horticulture industry, which is considered the promoter of environmental greening, has been maturely developed in Taiwan yet encountering increasing challenges. Performing business transformation has become the key to business sustainability; however, very few studies have focused on the key success factors of the landscape and horticulture industry. Accordingly, the study explores key success factors of the business transformation of the landscape and horticulture industry and attempts to rank these factors based on their significance to the transformation process. To explore key success factors and the ranking, the study selects numbers of possible factors from previous research and professional suggestions and uses Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate and analyze feedbacks from professionals and experts of landscape and horticulture industry in Taiwan. Research findings reveal that the top five key success factors of the transformation of the landscape and horticultural industry are market size, international economic trends, labor cost and human resources, market demand, and product or service differentiation. In the case of rapid changes in the internal and external environment, companies should grasp critical elements to strengthen their adaptability. This study proposes suggestions and expects to assist managers in landscape and horticultural industries to successfully undergo a business transformation.
