The key to business success is strongly depending on human resources management. Large enterprise will guide employees, associated with resources, to make every effort to meet the performance objectives. For small and medium enterprises (SMEs), especially family owned SMEs, an employee performance appraisal usually depends on top managers’ preferences. Thus, current SMEs performance appraisal model should be improved to upgrade the employee productivity. To improve the current unreasonable appraisal systems, a framework is proposed in this study. First of all, nominal group technique (NGT) is used to obtain performance assessment criteria. Secondly, a fuzzy multiple criteria decision making (FMCDM) model is adopted to evaluate the performance of employees. Finally, a multiple criteria analysis via the compromise ranking method, also known as the VIKOR method, for prioritizing the ranking of employees is applied. For a sustainable enterprise, a good quality employee performance appraisal model is essential. Not only the evaluation criteria but also the evaluation results should be transparent and quantified to achieve excellence in management. LEE, HSIN-I 李欣怡 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 78 zh-TW
