This study discusses the trend analysis of common-used theories in information management and continues the researches conducted by Dr. Ming-Hsiung Ying and Mr. Chi-Yin Lin in 2013 as a reference for future researchers. This study uses content analysis method and addresses the usage of common-used theories of information management through analyzing full public electronic articles, which are master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, from 2008 to 2017 in every information management department in colleges and universities in Taiwan. This paper also analyzes the effect of different education institutes and research period to the common-used theories of information management. The total amount of the articles is 5,587. This study uses twenty-three common-used theories of information management developed by Dr. Ting-Peng Liang as the basis of categorization. Through summarizing, there are 722 theses utilized common-used theories of information management. The researcher found that the Information Systems Success Model, the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology, and the Information Adoption Model are also commonly used, thus, the researcher included these three into the common-used theories. The result of the study indicates that the Technology Acceptance Model, the Information Systems Success Model, and the Theory of Planned Behavior are the most used theories among the Commonly Used Theories of Information Management. In addition, in terms of education institutes and research period, the effects of rural-urban style, the school systems, the school areas, and the type of the school are significant in the use of Commonly Used Theories in Information Management, while the research period is the only one doesn’t show the significance. The uses of each theory are as followed: (1) In the differences of the use of the theories in different rural-urban style of the school, there are significances in the Structure-Conduct-Performance Analysis Model, the Technology Acceptance Model, the Expectation Confirmation Theory, the Social Cognitive Theory, the Contingency Theory, the Task-Technology Fit Model, and the General System Theory. (2) In the differences of the use of the theories in different school systems, there is an only significance in the Social Exchange Theory. (3) In the differences of the use of the theories in different school area, there are significances in the Transaction Cost Theory, the Network Externality Theory, the Structure-Conduct-Performance Analysis Model, the Theory of Reasoned Action, the Technology Acceptance Model, the Elaboration Likelihood Model, the Theory of Information Overload, the Expectation Confirmation Theory, the Social Cognitive Theory, the Resource-Based Theory, the Leadership Theory, the Contingency Theory, the Task-Technology Fit Model, and the General System Theory. (4) In the differences of the use of the theories in different type of school, there are significances in the Innovation Diffusion Theory, the Technology Acceptance Model, the Expectation Confirmation Theory, and the Resource Dependence Theory. (5) There is only significant difference showed in the General System Theory among all in the effects of research period. YING,MING-HSIUNG 應鳴雄 2019 學位論文 ; thesis 70 zh-TW |
