Description
Summary:碩士 === 中華大學 === 科技管理學系 === 107 === The practice of raising funds by civic crowdfunding through online platforms has become increasingly popular in America and European countries since 2009. In contrast, the use of domestic crowdfunding for the direct or indirect funding of citizens’ projects or the development of local public finance is still in its infancy in Taiwan. This research is an exploratory qualitative study with the aim of exploring the current status of academic research of civic crowdfunding and its subsequent development direction and to understand the opportunities and challenges of civic crowdfunding, as well as to provide relevant advice to the government on how to properly use civic crowdfunding and effectively grasp the changes in this fiscal system. This study contains academic articles on arXiv, CiteSeerX, NCBI, Springer, and other electronic databases from 2012 to March 2019. Bibliometrics and a content analysis was used to explore academic articles of civic crowdfunding from the perspective of coercive, normative, and mimetic isomorphism of the institutional theory. According to the results, the research on the theme of civic crowdfunding is still in the early stage of development, and seems to be more focused on the field of social science research. Although the use of civic crowdfunding has been increasing on an annual basis in recent years, it is still at the case study stage and is insufficiently mature. While the development of civic crowdfunding has not yet become a theory, its implementation has had a wide-ranging impact on the European and American countries that have adopted it. On this basis, it is a research topic that is worthy of further exploration and promotion.
