Summary: | 碩士 === 中華大學 === 科技管理學系 === 107 === In recent years, with the rapid development of technology, the rise of the Internet, and the convenience and immediacy of instant messaging (IM) software, conducting organizational communication through IM software has become a trend nowadays. This trend is gradually changing people’s patterns of communication. In public kindergartens, well-functioning organizational communication serves to facilitate coordination of actions, problem solving and consensus building, which in turn contribute to enhancement of work performance and individual benefits of preschool educators. Therefore, it is significant to explore the individual benefits of preschool educators who apply IM for organizational communication.
This research was theoretically based on the revised Information System Success Model by DeLone and McLean (2003). System Quality, Information Quality, Service Quality, Intention of Use, User Satisfaction and Individual Benefits were the variables used in exploring the individual benefits public preschool educators perceived when applying IM software for organizational communication. An internet survey was conducted to collect data from New Taipei City public kindergarten preschool educators. Questionnaires were distributed from September 29 to October 29 2018, with a total of 461 valid responses collected. SPSS was applied to conduct reliability analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, independent samples t-tests, ANOVA, correlation analysis and regression analysis to validate the hypotheses of this research.
The results of this research indicated that out of the three variables of System Quality, Information Quality and Service Quality, Information Quality affected Intention of Use and User Satisfaction the most; between Intention of Use and User Satisfaction, User Satisfaction affected Individual Benefits the most. It was also found that preschool educators who made use of LINE for organizational communication more frequently on a daily basis perceived higher individual benefits, as compared with those who demonstrated lower frequency of use. Moreover, more than 96% of the preschool educators continued to use LINE for organizational communication after work. Therefore, we should pay attention to the use of LINE for organizational communication, so that preschool educators can fully rest after work and their work pressure can be reduced. The research results were expected to provide preschool educators with reference and basis for enhancing individual benefits when utilizing IM software for organizational communication.
