In a rapidly progressing times, the study and innovative ability of individual and organization have a huge effect on industrial competitiveness, especially in knowledge-intensive industry. Organizational knowledge exchange and learning are the foundation of innovative organization. It is crucial to improve and to be creative in a fluctuate milieu (Argyris & Schon, 1978). The study take a 12 inch semiconductor plant in Taiwan for example, discussing the operating of the internal knowledge exchange network currently. The knowledge exchange network can be divided into three catalogues: the internal knowledge exchange network, the external knowledge exchange network and the internal knowledge exchange platform network. The research respectively discusses about the internal and external users who exchange knowledge, the network pattern and the operating model of the internal knowledge exchange platform. On the one hand, the study take advantage of social network analysis method to investigate by semi-opened questionnaire and establish the relationship between network actors and the network, including actors, communicative behaviors, the intensity and orientations. On the other hand, we utilize software NodeXL to establish network relations and photograph, analyze its Degree Centrality, Indegree, Outdegree, Betweeness Centraliity and Closeness Centrality and discuss the network operating situation to provide guidelines so as to inspect and enhance the internal knowledge exchange behaviors and regulations in the corporation. According to the result, it proves that actors in the knowledge exchange network is mainly the technological department in the plant. It complies with the hypothesis in this study, namely, in high technological industry like semiconductor, have more demand in technological knowledge exchange. As for external knowledge exchange network, the most vigor actor is the department of warehouse in result of the external communication in materials and products outnumber the technology exchange and advanced learning. In the internal knowledge exchange platform, the most active in the network is technological development department, which have an exceedingly high Indegree that means other department is highly dependent on it in the knowledge exchange platform, however; the outward consultation or collaboration with other departments is relatively rare. On the basis of the statistics of the exchange pattern, we find that there are more subjects about expertise counseling and discussion, technological exchange, material resources, innovative concept, consulting requirements and technological coordination in the three networks. On the contrary, there are less subjects in relation with learning and advanced study. In conclusion, the result shows that the retraining and advanced learning opportunity in the company is comparatively scarce, which is expected to be improved in the future. Through knowledge exchange network to spur the advanced innovative learning, it is anticipated to reach the goal of upgrading the technology and products.
