Furthermore, the unreachable lands in metropolitans coupled with less consideration of dynamic lines among past architectures, worsen the duty performance speed and safety; therefore, the design of dynamic line for fire branch office is very crucial. This paper intends to explore: 1. the correlations among duty time, “building pattern”, “dynamic line”, and “fire truck parking location” based on New Taipei City fire units’ data; 2. the differences between dynamic line and duty time based on onsite survey of a team; 3. the proper fire office design by questionnaire. This research screened the data from the 7th Squad of fire rescue in New Taipei City with consideration of internal hardware facilities and software through onsite survey and questionnaire for analysis; which aims to clarify the efficiency and effect of office structure to duty performance in order to access the goal of speedy and safe requirement for firefighters by the consideration of rational criteria. The results show that the overall satisfaction level can be ranged from 3.9 points for Chunghe unit, 3.89 for Yonghe, 3.87 for Yongping, 3.79 for Nanshi, and 3.61 for Yuansan; the degree of satisfaction from members to offices is over 60%. Among them, Chunghe is the unit with highest satisfaction; Yonghe ranks best on space for office and onsite duty since L-type single-story hall design favors efficient attendance in response of regulation on duty performance within 80 seconds at day shift (AM06:00), and 120 seconds at night shift (PM22:00), identifying the advantage of single-level comparing to duplex-type; Yongping manages best on wireless equipment and distribution; Nanshi and Yuansan adopt two-story duplex-style and with worse effect to dynamic line since the design of old building cannot be modified easily to coordinate with the modern request on dynamic line for onsite duty performance. Regarding the dynamic line, the test to the line rebuilt confirms the enhancement on efficiency and speed for duty as well as reduction of collision among members, leading to efficient improvement on duty safety and speed.
