Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 教育學研究所 === 107 === This is a story about the life of a female substitute teacher in high school. In the form of self –narrative and inquiry, her past six-year career, the reason for insistence on involving in teachers’ recruiting examines and being a substitute teacher and some troubles the substitute teacher encountered in schools are all included. Exploring a substitute teacher how to survive in the school with micropolitical strategies and using story-telling can be the cure for the researcher and make her gain the strength to start over again.
As a substitute teacher, I transfer from one school to another every year, and I have to adjust myself to unfamiliar school environment and different school cultures. Therefore, from the perspectives of micropolitical strategies and self-narration, the conclusions are as follow:
1. Substitute teachers suffer from various pressures.
2. Substitute teachers do face unfear treat in the school.
3. The interaction between substitute teachers and school staffs is full of micropolitical strategies.
According to the conclusions, here are some suggestions for substitute teachers:
1. Do the best to upgrade your own values and competitiveness.
2. Endorse for yourself.
3. Interact with the school authorities and staffs with neither obsequiousness nor arrogance.
Eventually, this study is expected to bring different points of view for substitute teachers who still work hard in schools. School is like arenas of competition and contest, so it’s necessary for substitute teachers to figure out the method of survive.
