Summary:碩士 === 國立中正大學 === 教育學研究所 === 107 === This study is aimed at analyzing the leadership characteristics, the acts of the instructional leadership, and the impact on a school of a female junior high school principal. The researcher implemented the Case Study, invited seven teachers as research participants and collected data through a-year-long participant observation, interviews and document analysis to explore the leadership characteristics, the specific actions of the instructional leadership, and the impact on Principal Nuan in Sun junior high school. The conclusions and suggestions are as follows: 1. The femalejunior high school principal has the leadership charasteristicsof a good communicator, understanding, role modeling, support and emphasis on teamwork. 2. The femalejunior high school principal has high expectations on teaching tasks, makes the organization run well, encourages teachers to achieve tasks via teamwork, cares for students’ needs, and focuses on the interrelateionship among a school, parents, communities, and schools in the same district. The specific actions of instructional leadership are as below: (1) The teaching tasks of Five Ways of Life and the establishment of Artistically Talented Class. (2)Implement functions of Curriculum Development Committee and learning field groups, develop School-based Curriculum, and encourage teachers to participate in the workshops of curriculum design to ensure the course quality. (3) Ensure the teaching quality through teaching demonstration, class patrolling, and encouraging teachers to attend workshops on teaching strategies. (4) Encourage teachers for further training, provide practical workshops, establish professional learning communities, encourage opening classroom for lesson observation to assist teachers’ professional development. (5) Care for and focus on students' learning needs, create a positive learning atmosphere through a reward system, chances to perform, cooperation between parents and teachers, teacher’s modeling, assisting students to regain their self-confidence, broadening students’ views, and remedial classes. (6) Build a supportive teaching environment by improving teaching equipments and learning environments, encouraging teachers to conduct curriculum and teaching research and development, shaping a warm campus culture, and maintaining good interpersonal interaction with parents, communities, schools in the same district, and family members of faculty. 3.
