In this study, we used gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography and specific indicators to analyze nutrients components of citrus tankan produced from six orchards in Nanpu community, Bepui Township, Hsinchu County, to explore the impact of farming condition on the quality of citrus tankan. Working with a ecological environment research team, further analysis allows us to correlate the relation between the ecological environment and the nutritional complexity of citrus tankan. We found some trends between citrus tankan from six orchards, citrus tankan from organic farming has more complexity of nutrition. Citrus tankan from conventional farming has the higher sugar concentration. Some nutritional components from the peel of citrus tankan have similar trends to the result of ecological analysis. These results show that ecological environment might be able to regulate the nutritional components of citrus tankan.
