Also, the people’s living standards have improved, the requirements for firefighters are becoming more and more, which inevitably increases the job stress of firefighters. In this study, the research tools such as the Work Stress Scale, the Leisure Involvement Scale and the Work Performance Scale were used to collect data from the field firefighters in Kaohsiung City as a case study.371 of 420 questionnaires were valid. The data was analyzed by the descriptive statistical analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, Scheffe method, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s product-moment correlation. The following are the conclusions of the study: 1. Job stress is significantly different in the position, education level and marital status. 2. Job performance is significantly different in age, position, marital status and service years. 3. Leisure involvement is significantly different in gender, education level and marital status. 4. Leisure involvement is moderately positively correlated with job stress. 5. Leisure involvement is low positively correlated with job performance. According to the above research findings and conclusions, make recommendations to field firefighters, fire authority and follow-up researchers.
