Thus, this condition forces applicants of such occupations to enhance not only their knowledge towards specific field (musical, theatrical, choral, so to speak), but also their general managerial skills regarding to higher proficiency in English language as well. This study attempts to understand the level of such need by interviewing arts administrators from three outstanding performing arts organizations in western classical music category that are representative in this field in Taiwan, with regards to their sufficient professional skills and related experiences. After the interview, this study would sort out what kind of English needs according to the responses. The result of the ESP needs analysis shows that, arts administrators in western classical music field mostly need English language in email corresponding and during receiving.
