People visit the temple for worships and blessing for all kinds of matter hence it has profound influences on the area. In addition to the religious function, Minglun Temple also provides the service for community development on both advancing of tourism and the improvement of livelihood. The study intends to observe the public services provided by Minglun Temple, focusing on the possible public services it can provide, difficulties encountered when participating in the public services, and the relationships with community. The study intends to discuss the social activities participated by Minglun Temple, observing how religion coagulates the community consciousness and inspires the cares and compassions of residents through the activities and public affairs, how Minglun Temple interacts with the community to build the mutual trust and helps and the influences of such relationships on the residents in long term.
