In recent years, the increase of the food safety problem in Taiwan has caused the public to panic over the problem of food safety , In order to ensure safety, health and quality, companies must constantly improve quality and productivity, and think about how to maintain good quality and reduce costs to meet customer needs. The purpose of this study is to discuss the feasibility of introducing the production of biotechnology and food industry into the fine manufacturing, and to improve the efficiency of the tablet food production line in the case company and reduce customer cost, we applying the lean manufacturing techniques and using value stream maps as an improvement tool to redesign the case company tablet food production line, the result are reduction of 2 production process, reduction 10 staff, reduce lead time by 70% and process time by 14.7%,the distance for production reduced by 88 meters.
