Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 106 === With the thriving development of information, the foundation of own branding and manufacturing thrives rapidly, which gives consumers more options. Meanwhile, it has indirectly influenced the order content, changing it from “Low-Mix High-Volume Production” to “High-Mix Low-Volume Production” , which refers to the model of a wide variety of items produced in small quantities. This change makes the own branding and manufacturing more competitive; yet for original carton manufacturers, this change is a challenging obstacle since this model has greatly reduced the efficiency of production. Traditional carton manufacturing factory mainly use “Felxo printer” to print. This kind of printing technique is based on the concept of “stamp”. First, they engrave the needed pictures on dycril plate and then stamp them on every piece of paper. Since this process is complicated, each order requires much lead time.As for ink jet technology, it mainly convert the pictures to digital signals and allocates three primary colors by color-separation software, controlling the ink capacity based on the calculation of Piezoelectric material. It shortens the lead time; however, on the other hand, the cost on production ingredients is much higher than traditional Felxo printer. The following paragraphs will focused on the the feasibility of whether ink jet technology could be implemented in the industry of corrugated fiberboard. To know whether ink jet technology can be implemented in the corrugated fiberboard industry, evaluating product information on the market as well as the productive type, and analyzing the cost-benefit with Net Present Value (NPV) are crucial. If we judge from the production model of the corrugated fiberboard factory and its order content, it is possible for ink jet technology to be implemented in this industry since it could solve the problem of staff management. Corporations which are good at management have comparative advantages on using traditional Felxo printer; as for those poor at management, ink jet technology has absolute advantage to be introduced into the industry.
