This research adopted the quasi-experimental design with an experiment group (EG) and a control group (CG) to investigate the effect on teaching and purposive sampling to select two classes of sixth graders in.Yunlin City. The EG group was instructed with both expositive teaching and board game activities, while the CG group was instructed with expositive teaching and Quick Answer Race activities. The experiments introduced “The questionnaire about Knowledge, Attitudes and behavior of Energy Saving and Carbon Reduction of the high Graders” into this research to evaluate outcomes. In addition to quantitative research, the researcher also collected other qualitative data such as “The learning interview manuscript Board Game Activities”, the “Teacher's Diary”, “ Observation record ”. Use document analysis to understand school children's learning activities on the Board and reflect on their implementation process. A descriptive statistical analysis, dependent samples t test, independent samples t test,, item analysis, factor analysis, and Pearson product-moment correlation and simple regression, multiple regression and ANCOVA were conducted to analyze the data. (1) The two teaching methods are applied to the teaching of energy saving and carbon reduction, which can improve the knowledge of energy saving and carbon reduction for the children of the upper grades. As for the attitudes and behaviors, the results have not achieved significant results. In the direct teaching of the control group, the promotion of energy saving and carbon reduction know-how among students in the primary and junior high school grades did not achieve significant results. In the experimental group, the game of board games can increase the energy saving and carbon reduction awareness and behavior of elementary and junior high school children, and the attitude has not achieved significant results. (2) After the introduction of board game teaching, it can increase the knowledge of energy saving and carbon reduction in the experimental group and achieve remarkable results. Nevertheless, there has been no significant effect in enhancing the positive attitude towards energy saving and carbon reduction and increasing energy saving and carbon reduction. (3) The energy saving and carbon reduction behaviors in the experimental group were positively related to the degree of dissatisfaction in attitudes, indicating that the more positive attitudes towards energy saving and carbon reduction, the stronger the energy saving and carbon reduction behavior. (4) Explore schoolchildren who participate in this board game activity, promote cognitive cognition after the board game. According to the findings of this study, board game activities would not only achieve the enhancement of knowledge and the learners' interest in learning, but also educators can use the teaching as a reference to the board game activities about energy saving and carbon reduction for teaching activities and follow-up studies.
