碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 視覺傳達設計系 === 106 === Cultural of Baba-Nyonya has a distinctive cultural characteristics, reflecting the unique cultural phenomenon of the era, enough to provide potential value in the design field. This creation aims to: (1) Explore the cultural connotation of Baba-Nyonya and to analyze the core values of this culture. (2) Analyze the nyonya porcelain patterns to summarize the symbolism of Baba-Nyonya culture. (3) Creation of Nyonya culture jewelry with the concept of cultural product, conveying the characteristics and spirit of cultural fusion. By using the method of "Literature Analysis" as a research method, through collecting relevant journals, books, papers and other documents information, through summing up and analysis of this culture. The results of this study show that convergence of cultural backgrounds produced unique characteristics resulting in what is now Baba-Nyonya and that mixing of traditions and heritage reflects the essence of the Baba's ideology, "Harmony in diversity", the core philosophy of looking to achieve a harmonious relationship between people. This series of jewelry designs uses the symbol of the "Phoenix Peony" from the Baba-Nyonya culture to represent trust, respect, understanding, tolerant, and thanksgiving. Through combinations of colors and symbols, it attempts to display the beauty and appreciation of harmony in Baba-Nyonya culture. This series of designs endeavors to continue the spirit of Baba-Nyonya traditions while aesthetically innovating through contemporary jewelry design.
