The results show that legal entity directors/supervisors of business group affect the efficiency and operations of the board of directors and, consequently, weaken the internal corporate control mechanism. The higher ratio of legal entity directors/supervisors of business group increases, the easier for them to influence the decision-making and to maximize self-benefits through controlling over the board seats. Thus, a higher ratio of legal entity directors/supervisors of business group is more likely to have higher probability and degree of self-interested behavior of directors/supervisors. This study may provide individual investors as a reference. Our government and policy makers also can take this study as the Value-Relevance Information on the issue of revision system for legal entity directors/supervisors.
