Therefore, we hope that the preparation of calcium fluoride materials and the use of low-dose radiation acceptable to the human body to achieve enhanced antibacterial treatment is the goal and direction of my research.
This study successfully developed a novel treatment method, through fluoride (CaF2:Eu) combined with low-dose radiation therapy, can produce a large amount of ROS on the cell membrane and cell wall through X-ray irradiation, and speculate that the material itself and bacterial cells Brownian motion is generated in the interaction to achieve the effect of radiation therapy sterilization, which can prevent bacteria from developing drug resistance and increase the therapeutic effect to reduce bacterial proliferation. At the same time, the fluoride has fluorescence characteristics, its good biocompatibility and biocompatibility can help us not to derive other bone-related complications after implantation, and improve the efficacy and timeliness of osteomyelitis.
