A new type of drawing mechanism for plastic bags is designed in order to improve the drawbacks of hand-made process during tearing apart the plastic bags from the mold. According to the mechanism design theory and automatic technique, a drawing mechanism with four bar linkage is developed. In this paper, the trace of the clip, which is fixed on the connecting link of the four bar linkage, is studied with various ratios of the link lengths.
