Description
Summary:碩士 === 文藻外語大學 === 華語文教學研究所 === 106 === As China’s economy and international status has risen, the importance of Chinese has also gradually increased. From the aspect of trade and business cooperation, we can see that there will be more requirements of learning Business Chinese in the future. Considering of learners’ jobs, business people don’t have much time for long-term Chinese learning. Therefore, Distance Learning, self-study and internet learning resources might become their main study pattern. For those who need to use this kind of study tools, Asynchronous e-Learning and Mobile Learning applications are required. In addition, if online Chinese teacher could design synchronous customized Business Chinese courses, it could help learners complete business-theme learning and achieve B1 level at the same time. Without putting additional burdens and challenges on online teachers, “Qland Multifunctional Mobile Platform” has been created. This platform can assist teachers who are not good at software developing and designing, and it can lead the teachers to enter the field of Mobile Learning. Teachers can design a whole set of materials and assessments with simple tools in Qland Platform, including preview, review and after class sessions along with self-assessment. This research combined Qland Platform as well as distance teaching design in order to reach the following purposes: (1) Set up teaching demonstration in Qland; (2) Review the efficiency and issues of assisting Chinese distance learning in Qland; (3) Cultivate suitable Business Chinese materials for Distance Learning and apply them through Qland. Integrating the three major fields of distance learning: Synchronous e-Learning, Asynchronous e-Learning and Mobile Learning, this study, through developing and applying the teaching designs in the platform, helps distance teachers to design courses which match learners’ needs by using Qland. However, for the CFL distance learners, Chinese characters and oral skill are the two major learning difficulties. The learning efficiency may improve if the platform can add more exercises and materials to overcome the difficulties.
