Description
Summary:碩士 === 萬能科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 106 === In recent years, the operating of Vietnam’s banking industry is generally poor. The financial tsunami and dual-card interest rates also make the operating getting worse. Facing increasingly extensive Southeast Asia market, the signing of Memorandum of Understanding in 2010 and of Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement in 2011 become an advantage of Vietnam’s bank. The purpose of this study thesis to explore the Vietnam’s banking industry operatingafter experiencing the financial tsunami. The point of this paper is to analyze the competitive advantages of the banking industries, and presents the pros and cons of the banks. The study refers to Vietnam stocks database , and uses fixed assets, savings, operating expenses, interest income, non-interest income and loan money as financialindexes. First, DEA is used to analyze the efficiency value of the banks, and then remove badly-performed banks. After the results outcome, we use the TOPSIS method and Grey relational analysis to analyze, and compare the results between the two methods. The results show that the Viettinbank bank in the Grey relational analysis and TOPSIS method ranked respectively first and second. The bank using the two assessment methods gives the best performance, followed by the BIDV bank. Besides, all the banks have the similar results in these two assessment methods, so it proves the feasibility of this study’s research methods. Finally we also found that performances of financial holding banks are better than those of general independent banks since financial holding banks have more resources.
